I learned that to check the salt in the water is to see how light the water is. I also learned that we have to check the water to make sure it is safe for the fishes. we use the refractometer to check the salinity in the water. the refractometer is used to see what dissolved solids are in the water. I also leanred there is a lot of wild life out there. - sara g
